Good Dirty Fun

Dirty Girl Mud "Run"
The event, a 5K obstacle course, was set up at Kissing Bridge Ski Slope, south of Buffalo. Note the location. We were either going uphill or downhill, there wasn't much flat terrain. The weather had been good and rainy so there was no shortage of mud.

In actuality, we did everything but run...it was more of a Mud Walk, Crawl, Swim, Squish & Splash. Three of us planned to do the event together with a larger group. One of my friends said at the beginning, "Ok, we're all doing this together..." and as she looked at me: "No unnecessary running!"

Enthusiasm!
Thanks go to Patti & Jim for the photo.
Tutus!
Dave got some Dirty High Fives

Would I do it again? You bet your muddiest pair of boots I would!

Forecast...

Saturday, 66 and rain.

"Thunderstorms in the morning, then variable clouds during the afternoon with still a chance of showers. A few storms may be severe. High 66F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 80%."

Well, at least there won't be a shortage of mud.
Yeesh.

Stoked.

One week from today...

Dirty Girl Mud Run is a 5K mud run (or walk) and obstacle course for women.

Here's the disclaimer up front: These images are not mine. All images are shared from Dirty Girl Mud Run on FaceBook. I do not know any of these ladies - but I hope to have as much fun as they did.

 There will be mud.
There will be obstacles.
There will be teamwork.
Did I mention the mud?
There will be a sense of accomplishment splattered with love and laughter and smiling so hard our cheeks hurt.

Or maybe our cheeks will hurt from clenching our teeth trying not to get mud in our mouths!

Either way, I'm pretty darn excited.
